This monument was erected in honor of the crew of the USAF B-17 that crashed at Keranprès on May 17th 1943. It is also in gratitude of the inhabitants of Chateauneuf-du-Faou, Landeleau and Plonevez-du-Faou, who helped US and British aviators during 1939-1945. Cette stèle a été érigée en hommage à l'équipage du B-17 de l'US Air Force tombé à Keranprès le 17 mai 1943 et en remerciement aux habitants de Chateauneuf-du-Faou, Landeleau et Plonevez-du-Faou, ayant porté assistance aux aviateurs américains et britanniques pendant la guerre 1939-1945
