The S side of the D57L contains a memorial to US aviators.

Take the N31 W from Beauvais to Gournay-en-Bray then the D21A/D580 N. Turn W on the D57L before entering the town towards Molagnies. The monument is on the S side of the road left of a cross in front of a dirt road.

Lt Donald J. Furlong gloriously fell here on June 7th 1944 in the P-47 Thunderbolt 42-26274 from 62nd FS 56th FG 8th AF. He died a hero for liberty.
