A marker designating a former US airfield is on the western side of the D14 N of Saint-Marcouf.
Take the N13 NW from Bayeux to Sainte-Mere-Eglise and then the D15 NE to the D14. Follow that to the NW and you will see the monument on the W side of the road past the town of Saint-Marcouf.
Just after D-Day the Advanced Landing Ground A-7 was built at this site by the Ninth US Air Force 365th Fighter Group
