The town of Saint-Cannat grateful to those who contributed to our freedom.

But in both cases the date of july 17th, 1944 on the plaque is wrong. Both aviators were shot down on august 18th, 1944, two minutes apart by German flak trucks located in a field adjacent to the RN7 (according to German reports).
