To the south of the D107, in the town of Chanolles on the road of the same name.
A gravelly space next to a bridge into town.
On January 30th, 1948, at 1254, once the C-47's wreck was confirmed, an American SB-17, two days out from Germany, took off with six crewmen, three journalists, and one passenger in order to overfly the area and crashed as well. The only survivor was rescued by a German POW.
