A small clearing at the intersection of the rue du Plonévez-du-Faou and the D236.
Westbound on the N164, take the D17 to Landeleau then the rue du Plonévez-du-Faou NW to the monument. It is on the northern side of the road at the intersection with the D236.
This monument was erected in honor of the crew of the B-17 of the USAF that crashed on Keranpres May 17th 1943 and in gratitude to the inhabitants of Chateauneuf-du-Faou, Landeleau, Plonevez-du-Faou, who helped US and British aviators during the 1939-1945 war.
