An isolated farmhouse holds a plaque to a downed US airplane.
Take the N13 NW from Bayeux then take the D67 through D70 SW from Sainte-Mere-Eglise and head north on the D69 at La Bastille. Turn north on Founecrop, the monument is on the eastern side of the road, to the east of the hamlet of the same name.
At this location twenty-one American servicemen gave their lives for freedom
