The town's monument for the dead in the cemetery.
South on the A1 take exit 22 and the D1090 south and the D166 east across the river before turning north on D523. Turn NE on the D9D/D9 all the way around and then south to Allevard and then continue on the D525A. The monument is on the east side of the road.
In memory of the American crew 1st Lt Berryhill J.W. Pilot 2nd Lt Rodgers R.L. Radarman SSgt Anderton M.W. Passanger Crashed on Mount Arpette February 11th 1944.
The following information was transmitted by M.Pierre Robillard.
- Aircraft: Beaufighter IVF serial BT287 417th Night FS, took off from Dijon with a return over Istres, caught in a blizzard over Belledonnes. Circled the hill before crashing into it. The bodies were returned to their respective towns in 1948.
The plaque was put up on 10.25.1998
