At the intersection of Le Tertre and La Nouette roads.
North on the N137 take the D777 exit but turn south on the Avenue du Bois Greffier at the exit roundabout. Then take the D3772 east and turn north on the D53 NE to Le Tertre de la Nouette and turn south on Rue de Le Tertre. The monument is at its junction with La Nouette on the northern side of the road.

An American B-17 was shot down here on September 16th 1943 by German fighters. Three of the ten crew members died to liberate France.
In memory of the B-17 42-5849 394th BG. In fact, this plane fell over Champeaux near Vitré while the B-17 42-29893 379th BG fell over Ercé.
