Antoni Szczesny Marian WALTOS, service no. 76682, was killed in Hurricane II Z2497 of 87 Sqn RAF at about 8.00 a.m. He was commissioned from PAF College in August 1939. Was a PZL-23 Karas pilot in 1939 campaign in 65 Bomber Flight. Got to France, and then to Britain in early 1940. He joined 307 (Polish) Night Fighter Sqn (Polish) in December 1940 (he designed the badge of the squadron). He left the squadron in September 1941. Joined 87 Sqn in May 1942.
Adam Kazimierz DAMM, no. P-1547, was killed in Spitfire BL574 RF-F of 303 Sqn about 5.00 p.m. He completed a course in the PAF Reserve College. In France in 1940 he served with fighter section of Capt. Jasionowski (Kolhooven fighters) and then of Lt. Szmejl at Toulouse. Got to Britain after the fall of France. Trained n 55 OTU. Served in 249 Sqn from May 1941. In June 1941 transferred to 303 (Polish) Sqn, in March 1942 to 81 Sqn RAF, in April 1942 to 317 (Polish) Sqn, in May 1942 back to 303.
