The N roadside of the D668 in Crulai contains a memorial commemorating a US aviator.

Take the N12 W from Paris to Verneuil-sur-Avre then take the D926 W and the D918 S to Crulai. In town take the D668 W. The monument is on the N side of the road.

486th FS 352nd FG 8th AF

Shot down in aerial combat over Crulai on June 10th 1944. Executed in Saint-Sauvant Forest on July 7th 1944. Buried in the Rom cemetery.
