A farmhouse on the E side of the D64 contains a plaque dedicated to US aviators.
In Lille take the D617 N and then get on the D64. The monument is on the E side of the road.
In memory of the crew of the B-17F who died when their plane was shot down by flak on November 8th 1942 for the liberation of France near this farm over Fives-Lille

In memory of the crew of the B17F-10-BO 41-24472 of the 1st Combat Wing 306th BG 369th BS that was shot down by flak and fighter fire on November 8th 1942 over Bondues, on mission #17 over the railroad and industrial installations of Fives-Lille. Five crewmen were killed, 4 captured, and one escaped (pilot Cpt. Richard D. Adams).
